Great to see everyone at the conference. Like Sacha, who points out the Fed is an organisation 'of and for' detached youth workers, I think we have something really special, with a growing energy and power.

In relation to my presentation, should anyone still be a little confused about my theory (and practice) of 'pro-social interventions' take a look at this:

To my mind, what's great about the Fed is that it too is a good example of a pro-social endeavour.

Dear Paul, the speech should become available as a video link on this site in the near future. You'll find your interpretation to be consistent with what I was talking about.

I love this example. It is interesting that in road management we are now seeing a movement toward making areas more social, see Oxford Street's new crossing. Perhaps as detached youth worker we need the courage to remove similar barriers and focus upon enaging people through fun rather than seeing ourselves as a preference to enforcement.

Might have your theory total wrong for which I apologise, but then I haven't heard your presentation (sorry). Just feel that the social side of youth work is being lost under curent agenda and that concerns me.
